Print Settings Dialog |
|
The Print Settings dialog is opened via the Multiple Print... and Multiple Print Preview... commands in the Game menu. Some of its settings affect the printing of the current game (Print... and Print Preview) as well. See also Printing and Copying Sudokus. For the number of cells of the printed Sudokus the current Board Size setting (View menu) is used.
Number of Sudokus: The number of Sudokus that shall be printed in total.
Note: The trial version of the Sudoku application creates only 15 different Sudokus per size. Thus, if you print more than 15 Sudokus, these will be repeated from the 16th on.
Sudokus per Page: The number of Sudokus per page. This includes solutions if these are not printed on extra pages (when printing 6 Sudokus per page you would get 3 different Sudokus with their corresponding solutions on one page).
Difficulty: Specifies the difficulty of the printed Sudokus.
Note: The 'Very Difficult' setting will only affect 4x4 to 9x9 Sudokus. For all other sizes it is identical to the 'Difficult' setting. For more information, see Playing MaaTec Sudoku.
Include Solution: Uncheck this if you not want to print the solutions.
Solution on extra page: You can decide here whether you want to print solutions on extra pages or on the same page as the Sudokus. This parameter will be ignored if Include Solution is unchecked or Sudokus per Page is set to 1.
Number Sudokus: If this is activated, all Sudokus and their corresponding solutions will be numbered. This is especially useful when printing large numbers of Sudokus, as it helps finding the correct solution for a game.
Random Seeds: Here you can set the start values of the random number generator that is used to create the printed Sudokus (ignored in the trial version). By entering the same values you can print identical Sudokus on several occasions. Enter 1 to use random start values.
Max. Field Size: The maximum size of a single Sudoku cell, i.e. a 9x9 Sudoku would have the ninefold side length. If a Sudoku does not fit on a page with this setting, it will be scaled down to fit on the page.
Min. Distance: Minimum distance between Sudokus on the same page. If you print only one Sudoku per page this value is used as margin.
Footer left / Footer right: Here you can enter data that is added to the footer of every printed page. You can use %D and %P as placeholders for the chosen difficulty (%D) and the page number (%P). To remove the page footer, clear both edit boxes.
