Symmetry / Patterns Dialog |
|
The Settings dialog is opened via the Settings... command in the Edit menu. On the Symmetry / Patterns page of the dialog you can set the following properties:
Display visible cells as symmetrical patterns: Toggles the pattern display of visible cells on and off.
Note: If patterns are used to display visible cells, the Sudoku creation algorithm will work slightly less effective. Especially smaller difficult Sudoku puzzles will often start with more visible cells than comparable puzzles without patterns. Best you try which version gives you the most fun.
Use following patterns to display visible cells: Here you can select the different patterns that will be used by the program to create Sudokus. For every new Sudoku one of the active patterns will be randomly picked.
